To guide our children well in AI times, we shouldn't only think about risks, but also make sure opportunities are reachable for as many young people as possible.

That's why today I'm sharing something that is especially handy in exam year. Honestly I thought almost everyone already knew it, but I still get surprised reactions to it: aivoorleerlingen.nl, with the Aisha teachers.

On this website you can practise exams, ask for extra explanation, test yourself, get more examples given, etc. There's even a separate AI for exam stress.

We don't have any exam candidates yet (for a long while), but for my son in year 2 we already visit the site regularly too. Then I say something like: "Make a practice test in the style of [name of method, chapter ...]" or we upload a photo of teaching material where something is unclear to him.

Behind the scenes these AI teachers run on ChatGPT, but they are deliberately set up with pedagogical and subject-didactic principles and supplemented with subject content. That makes the explanation more targeted than when you just ask a question somewhere. The makers have tested the tool with real exams. Staying critical is always necessary, but it helps to know that quality has been seriously considered.

Also good to know: with a free ChatGPT account you can already get started here, although there is a limit on the number of messages. (A paid account gives unlimited access and is of better quality.)
