AI in family moments leading up to Communion

This coming Sunday is Holy Communion at our church. The call to self-examination applies to the whole family, but how do you bring the form closer to children aged 8 to 13?

For that I used AI. Together with Claude I made a document for six days, containing, for each day:

  • A part of the form itself (the actual text)
  • A children's edition in easier language
  • A matching Bible passage
  • A discussion question for the table
  • Five online quiz questions in Kahoot style, but on one screen, since we don't have a phone for every child

Finally, I used NotebookLM to make an overview image of the structure of all six days. With this material we hope to have a small family moment each evening, leading up to Sunday.

Do you think AI has a place here? Or doesn't that feel right to you with something like Communion?
