Prompting like a PRO (2)
How do you teach your child to use AI wisely? Here is a handle to lead the conversation with, and it is called: 'Prompt like a P.R.O.'
The P.R.O. stands for (in Dutch: Passend, Regie, Oké):
P: is AI Fitting here?
- Is this really a question for AI, or is it a matter for prayer?
- Would it be wiser to discuss it with your parents?
- Is it really necessary, or am I burdening the environment with it?
- Am I still thinking for myself with this?
R: am I keeping Control?
- Am I staying honest about what AI did?
- Do I still understand what I am making?
O: is the outcome Okay?
- Is AI making something up here (hallucinating)?
- Is it correct?
- What is the spirit of this output?
These are moral questions, not technical ones. And that is exactly what our children need: not only to know how AI works, but above all to know when and why you use it, or not.
I would say: teach your child to prompt like a P.R.O.! 😊
